그리피스 팍 하이킹과 피크닉/ Griffith Park Hiking and Picnic
3월 20일 KPLA 회원들이 그리피스 공원에 모여 맑은 공기와 신선한 날씨를 즐기며 하이킹과 피크닉을 하는 시간을 가졌다.
On March 20, KPLA members met at Griffith Park for hiking and picnic afterwards and enjoyed the beatiful weather, fresh air, and fellowship.

한국일보 거북이 마라톤/ The Korea Times Turtle Marathon
2024년 2월 3일 한국일보가 주회하고 그리피스 팍에서 열린 거북이 마라톤에 KPLA 회원들이 참여했다.
KPLA members participated in the “Turtule Marathon,” sponsored by the Korea Times and held at Griffith Park in Los Angeles.

KPLA 1월 월례회/KPLA January Monthly Meeting
2024년 1월 8일 용수산에서 KPLA가 1월 월례회겸 신년하례식을 가지고 떡국과 덕담을 나웠다.
On January 8, 2024, at Yongsusan Restaurant, KPLA held its monthly meeting during which its members enjoyed rice cake soup and exchanged good wishes.
KPLA 12월 송년 파티/ KPLA Year-End Party
12월 4일 Rose and Blanc Tea Room에서 KPLA 송년 파티가 열렸다. 게임과 음식을 나누며 한 해를 뒤돌아 보고 우리의 네트워크를 감사히 여기는 시간을 가졌다.
On December 4, KPLA had its year-end part at Rose and Blanc Tea Room. KPLA members shared great food and a lot of laughs while playing games, and had another occasion to appreciate our network.

11월 6일 JJ Grand Hotel에서 KPLA 11월 월례회가 열렸다.

미주한국어교육장학재단 갈라/ Korean Language Education Scholarship Foundation Gala Event
10월 7일 옥스포드 호텔에서 개최된 미주한국어교육장학재단 (손혜숙 이사장) 갈라 행사에 이계주 미서부 담당관, 이혜심 이사, 조미순 이사, 임경해 이사, 정정숙 전 회장, 권명주 초대회장, 카니 백 부회장, 김복순 부회장, 이선희 서기, 수 박 회계, 박혜정 회원, 그리고 김혜자 회장이 참석하였다.
On October 7, several KPLA members attended the Korean Language Education Scholarship Foundation Gala, held at Oxford Hotel.
제2, 3대 회장 이취임식
10월 2일 용수산에서 제2.3대 회장 이취임식에서 정정숙 제2대 회장이 이임을 하고 김혜자 제3대 회장이 취임을 했다. 이날 행사에는 김혜진 총영사관 영사 및 50여명이 참석했다.
On October, Heaja Kim was installed as the third president of KOWIN Pacific LA. The installation was attended by approximately 50 guests, including Consul Hye Jin Kim from the Consulate General of Korea in Los Angeles.
2023 KOWIN 한국대회 / 2023 KOWIN Korea Convention
제22회 세계한민족여성네트워크 대회가 9/5 국외 참가자를 위한 사전행사로 시작해 9/6부터 9/8사이에 있었던 2박3일간의 매인 행사까지 3박4일에 걸쳐 부산 파라다이스 호텔에서 열렸다. 여성가족부와 부산광역시가 주최한 이 코윈대회에는 23개국에서 360여명이 참석해서 여러 분야에서 활동하는 한인 여성들이 교류의 시간을 가졌다. 특히 눈에 띈 것은 한복 전문가 권정희 명장께서 국외 참가자들에게 한복을 선물해 주신 것이다. 코윈 퍼시픽 엘에이에서는 손혜숙 이사장, 이계주 미서부 담당관, 정정숙 전 회장, 김혜자 회장, 그리고 조미순 이사가 참석하였다.
The 22nd KOWIN Convention was kicked off with a special event for overseas attendees on September 5th, and was followed by a 2-day main event, at the Busan Paradise Hotel. 360 women from 23 countries attended, including the following KPLA members: Helen Sohn, Kye Joo Lee, Byung Jhung, Heaja Kim, and Misoon Cho.
한미동맹 70주년 기념식/ 70th Anniversary of the US-ROK Mutual Defense Treaty
9월 29일 American Legion Ronald Reagan Palisades Post 283에서 열린 한미동맹 70주년 기념식에 서 대한민국 육군협회 미국지부의 초대로 김혜자 회장이 주한미군의 역활에 감사의 말을 전했다. 김 회장을 응원하기 위해 이혜심 이사, 수지 오 전 담당관, 이선희 서기, 그리고 박혜정 회원도 참석했다.
At the ceremony commemorating the 70th anniversary of the US-Republic of Korea Mutual Defense Treaty on September 29th, KPLA President Heaja Kim gave a remark to thank the US soldiers stationed in Korea for their service. KPLA members Heather Lee, Dr. Suzie Oh, Sunhee Lee, and Hye Jung Park also attended the event at the American Legion Ronald Reagan Palisades Post 283.
제1회 KPLA 한인여성장학금 수여식 및 정기총회 / First KPLA Scholarship Award Ceremony and Annual Meeting
2023년 8월 7일 JJ Grand Hotel에서 개최된 정기총회 및 제1회 KPLA 한인여성장학금 수여식에서 8 대학생과 2 대학원생에게 각각 $1,000의 장학금을 수여하였습니다. 차기 회장으로는 김혜자 부회장이 선출되었습니다.
At the 1st KPLA Scholarship Award Ceremony /Annual Meeting, held on August 7, 2023, at JJ Grand Hotel in Los Angeles, 8 undergraduate and 2 graduate women of Korean descent received $1,000 each. Vice President Heaja Kim was elected to be the next president.
해외 첫 소녀상 건립 10주년 기념식 / The 10th Anniversary of the Glendale Peace Monument
2023년 7월 29일에 개최된 해외 첫 소녀상 건립 10주년 기념식에서 전 Glendale 시장이셨던 Paula Devine님과 자매도시 위원장 Chang Lee님과 함께 하였습니다.
On July 29, 2023, KPLA members attended the 10th Anniversary of the Glendale Peace Monument and spent time with Paula Devine,the former mayor of Glendale, and Chang Lee, Sister City Representative.
2023년 위안부 할머님 추모제 / Comfort Women Memorial Ritual
2023년 6월 3일 KPLA 회원들이 Glendale 소녀상에서 개최된 위안부 할머님들을 위한 추모제에 참석하여 Glendale 시장 Dan Brotman님과 기념 촬영을 했습니다.
Members of KPLA attended the Comfort Women Memorial Ritual, held on June 3, 2023, at the Glendale Peace Memorial, and posed for a photo with Mayor Don Brotman of Glendale, California.
2023년 미서부 연합 컨퍼런스
세계한민족여성네트워크 미서부 연합 컨퍼런스가 2023년 5월 21일 힐튼 샌프란시스코 에어포트 베이프론트 호텔에서 개최되었습니다. 송지은 현 미서부 담당관이 기획한 연합 컨퍼런스는 “제 4차 혁명과 여성 리더십"이라는 주제로 닥터 수지 오가 기조 연설을 맡았습니다.
KOWIN Western Region Conference was held on Saturday, May 21, 2023, at the Hilton San Francisco Airport Bayfront. Organized by Ms. Susie Coover, the current KOWIN US Western Region Director, the conference featured Dr. Suzie Oh as the keynote speaker with the theme of “The Fourth Industrial Revolution and Women’s Leadership.”

2023년 4월 1일 KOWIN Pacific LA는 회원 단합대회를 Getty Villa Museum에서 가졌습니다. Getty Villa Museum 측에서 한국어를 하시는 안내원을 준비해주셨습니다.
On April 1, 2023, KOWIN Pacific LA held an outing at the Getty Villa Museum where they were guided by a Korean-speaking docent.
Skid Row Homeless 돕기 / Helping the Skid Row Homeless
2022년 12월 30일 KOWIN Pacific LA가 Skid Row에 거주하시는 Homeless를 위하여 Skid Row People’s Market 선물권과 따듯한 커피, 그리고 모자, 양말, 장갑, 목도리등을 100분에게 나눠드렸습니다.
On December 30, 2022, KOWIN Pacific LA, with the aid of Skid Row People’s Market, distributed to the residents of Los Angeles Skid Row 100 goodie bags containing a gift card to Skid Row People’s Market, socks, a scarf, a cap, and a pair of gloves, along with a warm cup of coffee.

2022년 12월 28일 용수산 식당에서 40여명의 KPLA 회원들과 손님들이 송년회를 가졌습니다.
Approximately 40 KPLA members and their guests had the year-end party at Yong Su San in Los Angeles on December 28, 2022.
2대 회장 취임식 / Installation Ceremony for Second President
2022년 9월 26일 용수산 식당에서 신구회장단 및 60여명이 참석한 가운데 회장 이취임식을 개최했습니다. 이날 권명주 초대회장이 이임하고 정정숙 2대 회장이 취임했습니다.
On September 26, 2022, the second president of KPLA, Jungsook Jhung, was installed. The installation ceremony was attended by about 60 members and guests.
2022년 KOWIN 대회 / KOWIN Conference 2022
2022년 KOWIN 대회가 8월 24일과 25일에 걸쳐 온라인으로 진행되었습니다.
2022 KOWIN Conference was held online over a 2-day period from August 24th through August 25th.
